Possible Causes
Loose power connection, Faulty transformer or power cord, Control board failure, Tripped internal fuse
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before opening any electrical compartment.
- Verify supply voltage: Confirm the outlet or junction box feeding the heater has the correct voltage (typically 120 V AC). Reset any tripped breaker or GFCI.
- Inspect power cord and wiring: Look for cuts, burns, or loose wire nuts at the junction box. Tighten connections and replace damaged cords.
- Check internal fuse (if equipped): Some GSW control boards have a small replaceable fuse. Remove the control cover and visually inspect the fuse. Replace only with the same rating if blown.
- Transformer / power module: If the unit uses an external transformer, test its output with a multimeter. Replace if no or low output is measured.
- Control board replacement: If proper power is present but the display remains blank or E007 persists, the control board is likely defective and should be replaced with a GSW-approved board by a qualified technician.
