Possible Causes
Defective DHW outlet NTC sensor, Shorted sensor cable to chassis, Moisture ingress in sensor connector, Faulty PCB analog input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power before removing covers. Beware of hot pipes.
- Identify outlet NTC: Find the NTC on the domestic hot water outlet pipe of the Termet heater.
- Visual inspection: Look for signs of water leakage onto the sensor or connector. Dry any moisture and correct leaks before replacing parts.
- Check cable routing: Ensure the sensor cable is not pinched or rubbing against sharp metal edges, which can cause shorts.
- Test and replace: Measure resistance and compare to Termet specs. Replace the outlet NTC if readings are out of range.
- PCB diagnosis: If a known-good sensor still gives E06, the main PCB may be faulty and should be replaced by an authorized Termet technician.
