Possible Causes
Multiple failed ignition attempts, Air in gas line to Termet heater, Temporary low gas pressure, Incorrect start-up procedure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: If you smell gas, do not attempt to reset. Ventilate and call a professional.
- Reset procedure: Follow the Termet manual to perform a lockout reset (usually by pressing and holding the reset button or power cycling).
- Bleed air: After gas supply has been off, air may be in the line. Open a hot water tap and allow the heater to attempt ignition several times, with pauses between attempts, to purge air safely.
- Check gas supply: Ensure the gas valve is open and that other gas appliances function.
- Call technician: If E19 recurs frequently, a technician should check gas pressure, ignition components, and combustion settings.
