Possible Causes
Faulty air pressure switch on Termet heater, Open overheat thermostat, Loose safety circuit wiring, Control board not commanding gas valve
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not bypass safety devices. They are critical for safe operation.
- Check safety chain: Inspect wiring to the overheat thermostat, air pressure switch, and other safety devices. Ensure all connectors are secure.
- Reset overheat stat: If your Termet model has a manual reset overheat thermostat, press the reset button after the unit has cooled.
- Air pressure switch: Verify that the silicone tubes are connected and not blocked. Replace the switch if it does not change state when the fan runs (technician task).
- PCB diagnosis: If all safety devices are closed but the gas valve is not energized, the control board may be faulty and require replacement.
