Possible Causes
Corroded primary heat exchanger on Termet heater, Leaking hydraulic block or O-rings, Loose union on inlet/outlet connections, Cracked condensate trap (condensing models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn OFF power and close the water and gas supplies. Water leaks can damage electronics and cause electrical hazards.
- Identify leak source: Remove the front cover and use a flashlight to locate the exact origin of the leak. Dry the area and observe while briefly turning water back on.
- Tighten fittings: Carefully tighten any loose union nuts on the cold inlet and hot outlet. Do not overtighten plastic parts.
- Replace seals: If leaks are from the hydraulic block or pipe joints, replace the O-rings or gaskets with Termet-approved parts.
- Heat exchanger or condensate: If water drips from the heat exchanger body or condensate trap, these components may need replacement by a Termet technician.
