Possible Causes
Faulty pressure relief valve on Termet heater, Excessive mains water pressure, Thermal expansion with no expansion vessel, Debris on relief valve seat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Hot water may discharge from the relief pipe. Do not cap or block this pipe.
- Check pressure: Measure mains water pressure. If above the Termet specified limit, install or service a pressure reducing valve.
- Operate relief valve: Briefly lift the test lever on the relief valve to flush debris from the seat, then release to allow it to reseat.
- Expansion control: If the system has an expansion vessel, check its pre-charge and replace if waterlogged.
- Replace valve: If dripping continues, replace the pressure relief valve with a Termet-approved part.
