How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control cover.
- Check programming: On electronic models, verify that regeneration mode (time clock or demand) is enabled and that a regeneration time is set.
- Test manual regeneration: Attempt to start a manual regeneration. If the valve does not respond, check for power at the control and motor.
- Mechanical timer models: Listen for the timer motor running. If silent and the clock does not advance, test for voltage at the motor and replace the timer motor if failed.
- Electronic models: If the display is on but the valve never cycles, the control board or drive motor may be defective. Test motor operation during a forced regeneration and replace the failed component.
- Confirm operation: After repair, observe at least one full regeneration to ensure proper cycling.
