• Check actual hardness: Test your raw water hardness with a test kit and compare to the programmed value. Adjust hardness setting to match actual conditions.
• Review capacity and reserve: Increase capacity or adjust reserve settings if they are too conservative for your household usage.
• Verify meter configuration: Ensure the correct meter size and pulse rate are programmed for your Autotrol meter.
• Inspect meter installation: Confirm the meter is installed in the correct flow direction and that there are straight pipe runs before and after the meter to reduce turbulence.
• Replace faulty meter: If the meter is over-counting flow due to internal damage, replace the turbine flow meter assembly.
