Safety: Disconnect power before removing the control module.

- Check for surge damage: Look for burn marks, swollen components, or a burnt smell on the control board. If present, the board is likely damaged.
- Test operation: After reset, initiate a manual regeneration. If “Err 3” returns or the valve does not respond, replace the Autotrol electronic control board.
