Display shows “Err br” or “Brine Err” and unit aborts regeneration during brine fill or draw

Safety: Bypass the softener and relieve pressure before opening brine connections.

• Inspect brine tank: Check that the float assembly moves freely and is not encrusted with salt. Clean or replace the brine float assembly if sticking.
• Check brine line: Remove the brine line from both ends and flush with water. Replace if kinked or brittle.
• Clean injector and screen: Remove and clean the injector/nozzle-venturi and screen to restore proper suction.
• Check for air leaks: Ensure all brine fittings are tight and sealed. Air leaks can prevent brine draw and trigger errors.
• Test regeneration: After reassembly, run a manual regeneration and observe brine movement. Confirm the error does not return.
