Water leaks from the brine tank or brine line connections

Safety: Unplug the softener and avoid standing water around electrical outlets.

• Inspect brine tank: Look for cracks near the bottom or around fittings. If the tank is cracked, replace the brine tank.
• Check fittings: Tighten or replace compression or push-fit fittings on the brine line. Replace any brittle or cracked brine tubing.
• Float assembly: Remove and inspect the brine float assembly for damage or misadjustment that could cause overfill. Replace if necessary.
• Refill valve: If the brine tank overfills during regeneration, service or replace the brine refill valve in the Autotrol head.
