Clearwater softener display works but buttons do not respond or respond intermittently.

Safety first: Unplug the unit before removing the control cover.

• Dry moisture: If condensation or water is present inside the Clearwater control housing, dry thoroughly and correct any leaks.
• Reseat ribbon cable: Disconnect and reconnect the keypad ribbon cable to the main board.
• Test each button: After reassembly, test all keys. If some still fail, the keypad membrane is likely worn.

Replace the Clearwater display/keypad module if button response does not improve.
