Possible Causes
Stuck or scaled flow turbine in Foridra valve body, Disconnected or failed flow sensor, Wiring fault between flow sensor and main PCB, Debris lodged in flow meter housing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off power and place the Foridra softener in bypass. Relieve pressure before opening the valve body.
- Access flow sensor: On most Foridra models, the flow turbine and sensor are located in a side-mounted housing on the valve head. Remove the retaining screws and gently pull out the assembly.
- Inspect turbine: Check that the small turbine wheel spins freely. Remove any grit, iron sludge, or scale. Soak in vinegar if mineral buildup is present.
- Check sensor connection: Ensure the sensor plug is firmly seated on the control board. Inspect the cable for cuts or pinches.
- Reassemble and test: Reinstall the turbine and housing, restore water and power, and open a faucet. Confirm that the display now shows flow. If E05 persists, the sensor or main PCB may need replacement.
