Possible Causes
Failed temperature sensor on Foridra control board, Sensor wiring damage, Installation in environment outside rated temperature, Corroded sensor connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before touching internal electronics. Do not operate the softener below freezing or above the manufacturer’s maximum ambient temperature.
- Check ambient conditions: Measure the room temperature where the Foridra softener is installed. If below 5°C (41°F) or above 40°C (104°F), improve ventilation or relocate the unit.
- Inspect sensor: Locate the small temperature sensor on or near the PCB. Ensure its leads and connector are intact and free of corrosion.
- Reseat connector: Disconnect and reconnect the sensor plug to clean contacts.
- Replace sensor or PCB: If E08 persists in normal ambient conditions, replace the temperature sensor if it is separate, or the entire Foridra control board if the sensor is integrated.
