Possible Causes
Failed Foridra salt level probe, Disconnected sensor wiring, Heavy salt bridging around sensor, Corroded sensor contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before reaching into the brine tank. Wear gloves to protect your skin from concentrated brine.
- Break salt bridges: Use a broom handle or plastic rod to gently push down through the salt around the sensor area. Salt can form a hard crust that fools the sensor.
- Clean sensor: Locate the salt level probe (often mounted in the brine well). Remove it and clean off salt crust with warm water. Dry thoroughly before reinstalling.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor cable to the control board and ensure it is firmly connected and not damaged.
- Sensor replacement: If the error remains and wiring is intact, replace the Foridra salt level sensor with the correct model-specific part.
