Possible Causes
Failed home position microswitch on Foridra valve, Misaligned cam triggering the switch, Broken switch actuator tab, Wiring fault between switch and PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the softener and place it in bypass. Relieve water pressure before opening the valve head.
- Access switch: Remove the control cover to expose the cam and home position switch assembly.
- Check alignment: Rotate the cam manually (with water off) and verify that the cam lobe properly engages the switch lever. Adjust the switch mounting if necessary.
- Test switch: With a multimeter, check continuity of the switch when pressed and released. Replace if it does not change state.
- Inspect wiring: Ensure the switch wires are intact and firmly connected to the control board.
- Reassemble and test: Restore power and allow the unit to perform its homing sequence. If E11 returns, the cam or PCB may be defective.
