Possible Causes
Seized rotor/seal pack in Foridra valve, Debris lodged in valve ports, Worn motor drawing excessive current, Incorrect line voltage or power adapter
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and close inlet and outlet valves. Place the unit in bypass and relieve pressure.
- Check for mechanical binding: Remove the motor from the Foridra valve head and attempt to rotate the rotor shaft manually. It should turn smoothly with moderate resistance.
- Inspect for debris: Disassemble the valve head as per the service manual and look for resin beads, sand, or scale obstructing the rotor or ports. Clean thoroughly.
- Verify power adapter: Confirm the Foridra power adapter matches the required voltage and current rating. Replace if incorrect or damaged.
- Replace motor: If the valve turns freely but the motor overheats or stalls, install a new Foridra valve motor.
