Possible Causes
Stuck brine float in Foridra brine well, Faulty brine overflow switch, Continuous refill due to valve leak, Blocked brine drain line
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit and avoid adding more water or salt until the issue is resolved. Have towels or a wet/dry vacuum ready in case of overflow.
- Inspect brine float: Open the brine well and move the float assembly up and down. Free any salt buildup or debris preventing movement.
- Check overflow switch: If equipped, test the overflow switch with a multimeter for proper open/closed operation as the float moves.
- Verify brine drain: Ensure the brine drain line from the Foridra valve is not kinked or blocked, allowing proper brine discharge during regeneration.
- Check refill valve: If water continues to enter the brine tank when the unit is idle, the internal refill valve in the Foridra head may be leaking and require a seal kit or valve head replacement.
