Possible Causes
Incorrect time of day set, Regeneration mode disabled, Incorrect capacity or hardness settings, Power loss without backup battery
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal electrical work is required for basic programming. Do not open the control housing while powered.
- Set correct time: Adjust the Foridra controller clock to the correct local time, ensuring AM/PM is correct.
- Check regen mode: Confirm that automatic regeneration is enabled (time-clock or meter mode) and that a regeneration time is set (commonly 2:00 AM).
- Verify hardness and capacity: Ensure these values are correctly programmed so the controller can calculate when to regenerate.
- Power backup: If the unit loses time after outages, install or replace the internal backup battery (if equipped) or connect to a UPS.
- Manual test: Start a manual regeneration to confirm the mechanical parts function correctly.
