Softener makes loud banging or hammering noises during regeneration

Safety: High pressure and water hammer can damage plumbing. Consider consulting a plumber if unsure.

• Measure pressure: Use a gauge to check household pressure. If above 80 psi, install or adjust a pressure reducing valve.
• Secure pipes: Add or tighten pipe clamps and supports near the Foridra softener to reduce movement.
• Install hammer arrestor: Fit a water hammer arrestor on the line feeding the softener or near problem fixtures.
• Adjust cycle settings: If possible, reduce backwash flow rate or adjust cycle parameters per Foridra guidelines to soften transitions.
