Softener stuck in bypass mode and will not return to service

Safety: Depressurize the system before forcing any valve movement. Do not use excessive force on plastic handles.

• Verify handle position: Confirm the Foridra bypass handle is fully turned to the service position as indicated on the body.
• Lubricate O-rings: If the bypass is stiff, remove it (if serviceable) and lubricate O-rings with silicone-based lubricant approved for potable water.
• Check for internal jam: If the main valve is stuck in bypass internally, remove the valve head and inspect the rotor and seals for debris or damage.
• Replace bypass: If the bypass body is cracked or the handle mechanism is broken, replace the Foridra bypass assembly.
