Softener uses salt very quickly (excessive salt consumption)

Safety: No major disassembly is required for initial checks. Unplug the unit before opening the valve head.

• Review settings: Check regeneration frequency, capacity, and salt dosage on the Foridra controller. Adjust to manufacturer-recommended values.
• Observe brine draw: During regeneration, confirm that brine is drawn and then stops at the correct time. Continuous draw may indicate a leaking brine valve.
• Inspect brine valve: Disassemble the brine valve section of the Foridra head and inspect seals and seats. Replace worn components with a seal kit.
• Monitor usage: After adjustments, track salt usage over several weeks to confirm improvement.
