How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Place the unit in bypass and unplug it. Brine is corrosive; wear gloves and protect nearby surfaces.
- Locate leak: Inspect the brine tank walls, bottom, and fittings for visible cracks or dripping.
- Check fittings: Tighten the brine line connection at the brine well and at the Foridra valve head. Replace any cracked fittings.
- Inspect float assembly: Remove and examine the brine float assembly for cracks or worn seals. Replace if leaking.
- Check for overfill: If the tank is overfull, investigate the refill valve in the Foridra head and the brine drain line for faults (see E18).
- Replace tank: If the brine tank itself is cracked, replace it with a compatible Foridra brine tank and transfer the float and brine well.
