Water softener leaks water from around the control head or valve body.

Locate leak source:

• Dry the area and observe where water reappears: at plumbing unions, bypass, or valve seams.
• Tighten any loose threaded or union connections gently; do not overtighten plastic fittings.

Seal and body inspection:

• If water seeps from the seam of the control head or around the drive shaft, internal O-rings or seals may have failed.
• Check for visible cracks in the valve body, especially if the unit was exposed to freezing temperatures.

Resolution: Replace any leaking fittings or unions. Internal seal or body leaks require a seal kit or replacement control head, typically installed by a Kinetico technician.
