Possible Causes
Stuck brine refill valve, Leaking brine float, Incorrect refill time programmed, Cracked brine line allowing siphon
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug power and avoid contact with salty water on the floor to prevent slipping. Shut off water if overflow is severe.
- Check float shutoff: Inspect the brine float assembly to ensure it rises and shuts off brine flow. Replace the Pentair brine float assembly if it does not seal.
- Inspect refill valve: Remove and clean the brine refill valve and flow control in the Pentair valve. Replace if stuck open.
- Programming: Verify the brine refill time or salt dose is correctly set. Excessive refill time will overfill the tank.
- Brine line routing: Ensure the brine line does not create a siphon effect from the valve to the tank. Route per Pentair installation instructions.
