Possible Causes
Stuck or clogged Pentair turbine meter, Broken turbine shaft, Disconnected meter cable, Failed meter sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Shut off inlet and outlet valves and relieve pressure before removing the meter assembly.
- Confirm symptom: Open a faucet downstream and verify water is actually flowing while the display still shows 0 gpm or NO FLOW.
- Inspect meter: Remove the turbine or meter housing from the valve. Clean out any sand, iron, or debris. Ensure the turbine spins freely.
- Check cable: Inspect and reseat the meter cable at both the meter and control board. Replace if insulation is cracked or conductors are exposed.
- Sensor test: In diagnostic mode, spin the turbine by hand and watch for flow pulses on the display. No change indicates a bad sensor or board input.
- Replace meter: Install a new Pentair turbine flow meter assembly if the existing one is damaged or the sensor is dead.
