Possible Causes
Failed Pentair power supply/transformer, Unplugged or dead outlet, Blown internal fuse, Damaged control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Verify the outlet is not controlled by a wall switch. Use caution when working with electrical components.
- Check outlet: Plug in a lamp or tester to confirm the outlet has power.
- Inspect transformer: Ensure the Pentair low-voltage transformer is plugged in and the cable is intact. Measure output voltage with a multimeter.
- Internal fuse: Some Pentair boards have a small fuse. With power disconnected, check and replace with the same rating if blown.
- Board replacement: If the transformer outputs correct voltage but the board remains dead, replace the Pentair electronic control board.
