Possible Causes
Loose brine line fitting, Cracked brine well or float tube, Damaged brine line ferrule, Overfilled brine tank
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No need to shut off main water if leak is confined to brine tank, but unplug power to avoid electrical hazards from standing water.
- Inspect fittings: Tighten the compression nut at the brine line connection on the Pentair valve and at the brine well cap. Do not overtighten plastic parts.
- Check tubing: Examine the brine line for cracks or pinholes. Replace with new Pentair brine tubing if damaged.
- Float assembly: Remove the brine well cover and inspect the float tube for cracks. Replace the Pentair brine float assembly if leaking.
- Salt level: Ensure the brine tank is not overfilled with water. The water level should normally be below the top of the salt bed.
