Possible Causes

Regeneration schedule disabled or set too infrequently, Brine injector blocked, Brine line disconnected or air leak, Control valve motor not advancing through brine draw stage

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power and isolate water before removing injectors or hoses.

Step-by-step checks:

  • 1. Review programming: Check that the unit is set to metered or timed regeneration and that the capacity and hardness are correctly entered.
  • 2. Observe a regeneration: Manually start a regeneration and watch the brine tank. During brine draw, the water level should gradually fall. If it does not, suspect injector or brine line issues.
  • 3. Clean brine injector: Remove and soak the injector/nozzle in vinegar or descaler, then rinse and reinstall.
  • 4. Check brine line connections: Ensure all push-fit or compression fittings are airtight and the brine line is not cracked.

If salt usage does not resume, the control valve may need professional diagnosis.
