How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Bypass the softener and unplug it. Wear gloves when handling brine.
Steps to correct a flooded brine tank:
- 1. Remove excess water: Pump or vacuum out brine until the level is just above the air check at the bottom of the brine well.
- 2. Clean injector and brine line: Remove and clean the SpringWell injector/venturi assembly and flush the brine line.
- 3. Service safety float: Clean and test the SpringWell brine safety float assembly to ensure it moves freely and shuts off flow at the correct level.
- 4. Check brine refill valve: If water continues to enter the brine tank when it should not, rebuild or replace the SpringWell brine valve or control head.
