Display shows E07 and the unit draws no brine during the brine draw stage of regeneration.

Safety: Bypass the softener and unplug it. Wear gloves when handling salty water and components.

Steps to troubleshoot E07 (Brine Draw Failure):

• 1. Check for salt bridge: Open the brine tank lid. Push a broom handle or plastic rod straight down into the salt. If you hit a hard crust with empty space underneath, break up the salt bridge and remove loose chunks.
• 2. Inspect brine well and float: Remove the brine well cover. Ensure the float assembly moves freely up and down and is not encrusted with salt. Clean the float and safety valve with warm water and reassemble.
• 3. Examine brine line connections: Ensure all brine line fittings at the control head and brine well are tight. Any air leak will prevent suction. Replace cracked tubing or O-rings.
• 4. Clean injector/venturi: Remove the injector/venturi assembly from the SpringWell control valve. Soak in vinegar or a resin cleaner to dissolve iron and scale. Use a soft brush or toothpick to clear small orifices (do not enlarge them). Rinse thoroughly and reinstall.
• 5. Test brine draw: Restore power and water, then manually start a regeneration. During brine draw, mark the brine level and check after 10–15 minutes. If the level drops, brine draw is working. If not, the internal valve piston or seals may be worn and the SpringWell piston and seal kit or entire head should be replaced.
