Possible Causes
Incorrect or failing SpringWell power adapter, Loose power jack connection, Voltage fluctuations at outlet, Internal short on control board drawing excess current
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Do not work on live electrical circuits. Unplug the adapter before inspection.
Steps to troubleshoot E17 (Power Supply Fault):
- 1. Verify adapter specs: Check the label on the power adapter and confirm it matches the voltage and amperage specified by SpringWell for your model.
- 2. Test outlet: Plug another device into the same outlet to confirm it is working properly. Avoid outlets controlled by wall switches.
- 3. Inspect power jack: Examine the power jack on the control head for looseness or corrosion. Gently wiggle the plug and see if the display flickers; if so, the jack may be damaged.
- 4. Try a known-good adapter: If available, test with a compatible SpringWell adapter. If the error clears, replace the SpringWell power adapter.
- 5. Replace control head: If a good adapter still results in E17, the control board may have an internal short and should be replaced.
