Steps:

• Inspect brine level: Open the brine tank and check the water level. If it is above the normal mark, manually bail out excess brine into a suitable container.
• Check float assembly: Locate the safety float in the brine well. Ensure it moves freely up and down. Clean any salt sludge or debris that may prevent proper operation. Replace the float assembly if damaged.
• Inspect brine refill valve: On the control head, check the brine refill valve for debris or scale that could prevent it from closing. Clean or replace the valve cartridge as needed.
• Verify drain connection: Ensure the drain hose has an air gap and is not submerged in standing water, which can cause backflow into the brine tank.
• Test regeneration: After correcting issues, run a manual regeneration and observe the brine fill and draw stages to confirm that the level rises and falls correctly.
