Possible Causes

Failed NTC temperature sensor in cabinet, Broken or loose sensor harness, Corroded sensor connector on main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the Auseo wine cooler from the wall outlet before removing any panels or touching wiring.

Step-by-step checks:

  • Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5 minutes, then plug it back in. If E0 returns immediately, continue with diagnosis.
  • Access the cabinet sensor: Open the cooler and locate the small plastic sensor probe usually clipped to the rear liner or side wall. On many Auseo models it is routed through a small grommet to the rear of the cabinet.
  • Inspect wiring: Check the sensor lead for cuts, pinches, or signs of moisture damage. Ensure the connector is firmly seated on the main PCB (usually behind the rear lower panel).
  • Test the sensor: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the sensor from the control board and measure resistance with a multimeter. A typical Auseo NTC sensor will read between 5–50 kΩ depending on temperature. An open circuit (OL) or 0 Ω indicates a bad sensor or shorted wiring.
  • Replace if faulty: If readings are out of range, replace the cabinet NTC temperature sensor. Route the new sensor along the original path, avoiding sharp bends and hot components, and reconnect to the main PCB.
  • Reassemble and test: Refit any panels, restore power, and verify that the E0 code clears and the compressor starts within a few minutes.

When to call a technician: If the sensor tests good but E0 persists, the fault may be on the main control board and professional diagnosis is recommended.
