Possible Causes
Failed ambient NTC sensor near front grille, Sensor lead damaged during cleaning or movement, Poor contact at control board connector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing any panels or working near the compressor compartment.
How to check:
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Auseo models, the ambient sensor is mounted near the front kick plate or behind the control panel to sense room temperature.
- Visual inspection: Remove the front grille or control panel as needed. Look for a small probe or plastic-encased sensor with two wires leading to the main PCB. Check for frayed wires or signs of impact.
- Test resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance with a multimeter. Compare to expected NTC values (similar to cabinet sensor). If the reading is infinite or near zero, the sensor is defective.
- Replace sensor: Install a new ambient NTC temperature sensor compatible with Auseo wine coolers. Route wiring away from moving parts and hot components.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the grille or panel, restore power, and verify that E2 disappears and the unit maintains stable temperature.
Tip: Ensure the cooler is installed away from heat sources and direct sunlight, as extreme ambient conditions can also cause erratic operation.
