Possible Causes

Failed DC evaporator fan motor, Ice buildup blocking fan blades, Loose fan connector on control board, Faulty fan driver circuit on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before opening the cabinet or touching the fan assembly.

Steps:

  • Check for ice obstruction: Remove interior shelves and the rear panel to access the evaporator fan. If ice is packed around the fan, fully defrost the unit and check the defrost system (see defrost-related faults).
  • Spin the fan by hand: With power off, gently rotate the fan blades. They should spin freely without grinding. Stiff or seized movement indicates a bad motor.
  • Verify voltage: Plug the unit in briefly and carefully measure DC voltage at the fan connector (use insulated probes and avoid moving blades). If rated voltage is present but the fan does not run, the motor is defective.
  • Replace fan motor: Unplug the unit again, remove mounting screws, and install a new evaporator fan motor assembly for Auseo wine coolers. Transfer the fan blade if it is separate.
  • Reassemble: Refit the rear panel and shelves, restore power, and confirm that E4 clears and airflow is restored.

Note: If no voltage is present at the fan, the main control board or wiring harness may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
