Possible Causes
Failed magnetic reed switch, Misaligned door magnet, Broken door switch wiring, Faulty door sensor input on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working around the door frame wiring.
How to fix:
- Locate door sensor: On many Auseo wine coolers, a magnetic reed switch is hidden in the cabinet frame, with a magnet in the door. Others use a mechanical plunger switch.
- Check alignment: Ensure the door closes fully and the magnet lines up with the sensor area. Adjust door hinges if the door is sagging.
- Test switch: If accessible, disconnect the switch and test continuity with a multimeter while opening and closing the door (or moving a magnet near a reed switch). The reading should change between open and closed.
- Inspect wiring: Look for pinched or broken wires near the top or side of the cabinet where the harness runs.
- Replace faulty parts: Install a new door reed switch or door plunger switch if defective. Ensure the door magnet is secure and correctly positioned.
- Verify operation: Restore power and confirm that the interior light and door-ajar indicator behave normally and E7 is cleared.
Tip: A stuck-on light can heat the cabinet and cause poor cooling; address this fault promptly.
