Possible Causes
Failed inter-zone mixing fan, Stuck air damper between zones, Broken damper motor, Control board not driving damper correctly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal ducting or fans.
Steps:
- Identify airflow components: Some Auseo dual-zone models use a small fan or motorized damper to share cooling between zones.
- Access duct: Remove interior panels between the upper and lower compartments to expose the mixing fan or damper assembly.
- Check movement: Manually move the damper (if accessible) to ensure it is not jammed by debris or ice. Spin the mixing fan by hand to check for free movement.
- Test motor: With the unit briefly powered (use caution), verify that the damper motor or mixing fan receives voltage when the control calls for zone balancing.
- Replace faulty part: Install a new inter-zone mixing fan or air damper motor assembly if non-functional.
Note: If the actuator and fan are good but F3 persists, the dual-zone control logic on the main PCB may be defective.
