Possible Causes
Failed display PCB, Loose display ribbon cable, Burned-out LED backlight, Partial failure of control board low-voltage supply
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before removing the control panel.
- Check for faint display: In a dark room, look closely to see if any segments are faintly visible. This helps distinguish between backlight and full display failure.
- Access the control panel: Remove screws securing the front control panel and gently pull it out to expose the display PCB and ribbon cable.
- Reseat connectors: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the display and main board. Ensure it is fully inserted and not damaged.
- Inspect for damage: Look for burnt components or corrosion on the display PCB.
- Replace display board: If the cooler runs but the display remains blank, replace the display/control PCB with an OEM Avanti part.
- Control board check: If a new display does not light, the low-voltage supply on the main control board may be faulty and the board will need replacement.
