Wine cooler shows E6 and interior fan does not run or runs intermittently.

Safety: Disconnect power before working near the fan or evaporator. Fan blades can be sharp.

• Check for airflow: With the door closed and unit running (before unplugging), listen for the evaporator fan behind the interior rear panel. No sound or intermittent noise indicates a fan issue.
• Inspect for ice blockage: Remove the interior rear panel to access the fan. If the fan is encased in ice, fully defrost the unit and check the defrost system (heater and thermistor).
• Spin the fan by hand: With power off, gently rotate the fan blades. They should spin freely without grinding. Stiff or seized movement indicates a bad motor.
• Check wiring: Inspect the fan harness from the motor to the control board for cuts, loose connectors, or corrosion.
• Test voltage (advanced users): With the unit powered and door switch held closed, carefully measure voltage at the fan connector (use proper safety precautions). If rated voltage is present but the fan does not run, the motor is defective.
• Replace the fan motor: Install an OEM Avanti evaporator fan motor assembly. Transfer the fan blade if it is separate, and ensure correct rotation direction and clearance from surrounding parts.
• Control board check: If the fan never receives power, the fan driver on the main control board may be faulty and the board will need replacement.
