Possible Causes
Faulty internal power supply on control board, Loose power cord connection, Damaged power filter board, Intermittent wall outlet or surge protector
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect the cooler from power before inspecting internal wiring. Do not bypass grounding.
- Check the outlet: Plug a lamp or small appliance into the same outlet to verify stable power. Avoid using extension cords or power strips; plug the cooler directly into a grounded outlet.
- Inspect the power cord: Look for cuts, kinks, or burn marks along the Avanti power cord. Replace the cord if damaged.
- Check internal connections: Remove the rear panel to access the power entry area. Verify that the power cord terminals, power filter board (if present), and main control board connectors are tight.
- Look for burnt components: Examine the control board for burnt spots, bulging capacitors, or a burnt smell, which indicate a failed power supply section.
- Reset and test: After reseating connectors, plug the unit back in and see if E9 clears. If the error returns or the unit cycles off and on, the control board power supply is likely failing.
- Replace the control board or power module: Install an OEM Avanti main control board or separate power module (depending on model). Transfer all connectors carefully, matching positions to the original board.
