Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between display and main board, Failed touch control/display PCB, Corrupted control board firmware, Shorted keypad

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the wine cooler before removing the control panel or display assembly.

  • Power cycle: Disconnect power for 10–15 minutes, then reconnect. If EE reappears immediately, proceed with inspection.
  • Access the control panel: Remove the screws securing the front control panel or door trim (depending on model). Carefully pull the panel forward to expose the display PCB and ribbon cable.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Ensure the flat cable between the display and main control board is fully seated and not kinked or damaged. Reseat both ends.
  • Check for moisture: Look for condensation or liquid intrusion around the control panel. Dry gently with a soft cloth and allow time for complete drying before reassembly.
  • Visual inspection of boards: Examine both the display PCB and main control board for burnt components or corrosion.
  • Replace faulty board: If reseating cables does not resolve the issue, replace the display/touch control board first (most common). If EE persists, replace the main control board with an OEM Avanti part.
