Possible Causes

Cabinet thermistor out of calibration, Loose thermistor connection, Control board ADC (analog-to-digital converter) error, Sensor positioned incorrectly in airflow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal sensors or the control board.

  • Verify actual temperature: Place an accurate thermometer inside the cooler and compare to the displayed temperature. If the display shows LO or an unrealistically low value, suspect the sensor or board.
  • Inspect cabinet thermistor: Locate the interior temperature sensor and ensure it is firmly attached to the wall and not touching the evaporator directly, which can cause false low readings.
  • Check wiring and connector: Follow the thermistor wire to the control board and verify the connector is tight and free of corrosion.
  • Test resistance: With power off, measure thermistor resistance and compare to expected values at the measured cabinet temperature. A sensor reading far out of range indicates a faulty thermistor.
  • Replace thermistor if needed: Install an OEM Avanti cabinet thermistor and route it as originally installed.
  • Control board replacement: If a new sensor does not correct the LO reading, the control board's measurement circuit may be defective and the board will need replacement.
