Possible Causes
Failed lower zone evaporator fan, Blocked airflow duct between zones, Lower zone thermistor failure, Faulty lower zone control relay
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before accessing interior panels.
- Compare zones: Verify that the upper zone reaches set temperature while the lower zone remains warm.
- Check lower zone fan: Listen for airflow in the lower compartment. If silent, remove the lower rear interior panel and inspect the fan.
- Inspect for obstructions: Ensure vents between zones are not blocked by bottles or shelves.
- Test lower zone thermistor: Measure resistance and compare to the upper zone sensor at similar temperature. Replace if out of range.
- Control board / zone relay: If the fan and sensor are good, the lower zone cooling relay or control circuit may be faulty. Replace the zone control board or main board as required.
