Possible Causes
Clogged condensate drain hole, Disconnected or cracked drain tube, Excessive door openings causing condensation, Cabinet not level causing water to overflow
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before working inside. Wipe up any water to prevent slipping.
- Locate the drain: Most Avanti wine coolers have a small drain hole at the rear of the interior floor or behind the lower back panel.
- Clear the drain hole: Use a soft pipe cleaner, cotton swab, or flexible plastic rod to gently clear debris from the drain opening. Do not use metal objects that can damage the drain.
- Check the drain tube: From the rear of the unit, locate the drain tube leading to the evaporator pan. Ensure it is connected, not kinked, and not cracked.
- Clean the evaporator pan: Remove and clean the pan if accessible. Ensure it is properly positioned under the drain tube.
- Level the cabinet: Use a level to check that the cooler is slightly tilted back so water flows to the drain. Adjust the front leveling legs as needed.
- Reduce moisture load: Avoid leaving the door open for long periods and minimize frequent openings, which increase condensation.
