Possible Causes
Locked compressor, Shorted compressor windings, Failed start device, Faulty compressor current sensor on PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit. Work on the compressor area only if you understand mains safety. Do not open the sealed system.
- Listen for sounds: When previously powered, note if the compressor clicked on and off rapidly or made loud humming noises.
- Inspect start device: Remove the compressor terminal cover and check the start relay and overload for damage. Replace with a Beko-approved start device if suspect.
- Measure compressor windings: With the compressor disconnected and using a multimeter, measure resistance between the three terminals. All readings should be finite and not shorted to ground. If windings are shorted or open, the compressor is faulty.
- Professional repair: Compressor replacement and refrigerant handling must be done by a certified refrigeration technician.
