Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Misaligned or damaged door switch or reed sensor, Magnet missing from door frame, Broken door switch wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the cooler before removing trims or panels.
- Check for obstructions: Ensure shelves or bottles are not preventing the door from closing fully.
- Inspect gasket and hinges: Look for warped door, loose hinges, or twisted gasket that keeps the door slightly open.
- Locate door sensor: On many Beko wine coolers, a magnetic reed switch is located in the cabinet frame, with a magnet in the door. Verify the magnet is present and aligned with the switch.
- Test door switch: With a multimeter, test continuity of the reed switch while opening and closing the door (or moving a magnet near it). Replace the switch if it does not change state.
- Replace faulty parts: Install a new door switch or magnet as needed. Adjust hinges so the door closes squarely and seals all around.
