Possible Causes
Failed ambient NTC sensor, Sensor not correctly positioned near air intake, Broken or shorted sensor wiring, Defective main PCB sensor circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the appliance before removing any covers.
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Beko wine coolers, the ambient NTC is located near the front grille, side wall, or behind the control panel where it can sense room temperature.
- Visual inspection: Check that the sensor is not dangling, crushed, or covered by insulation. Ensure it is not in direct contact with hot components.
- Check wiring: Follow the sensor leads back to the main control board. Look for pinched wires, rodent damage, or loose connectors. Reseat the plug on the PCB.
- Test resistance: With a multimeter, measure the sensor resistance at room temperature. Compare with expected NTC values or with another identical sensor if present. Replace if open or shorted.
- Replace ambient NTC: If faulty, install a new Beko-compatible ambient temperature sensor. Mount it in the original location to ensure accurate readings.
- PCB evaluation: If a new sensor does not clear E2, the main control board may be misreading the sensor and should be replaced by a professional.
