Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the door trim or control panel.
Steps to diagnose and fix:
- Power reset: Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. If E9 clears temporarily but returns, proceed with inspection.
- Inspect control panel: Check the front glass or plastic control area for cracks, moisture, or condensation. Wipe dry and ensure no cleaning fluid has seeped into the panel.
- Access UI connections: Remove the inner door trim or top panel (depending on model) to access the touch control board and ribbon cable.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat ribbon cable is fully seated in both the UI board and main PCB connectors. Reseat carefully to avoid bending pins.
- Replace UI board: If connections are secure and E9 persists, replace the BODEGA touch control panel / user interface board with a compatible part.
When to call a professional: If replacing the UI does not resolve the issue, the main control board may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
