Possible Causes
Stuck physical button, Contaminants under keypad, Faulty touch sensor on UI board, Damaged keypad ribbon cable
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing the control panel.
Steps to diagnose and fix:
- Inspect buttons: Press each button individually and feel for normal travel. If a button feels stuck, gently work it back and forth.
- Clean around buttons: Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with mild soap solution to clean around the buttons. Do not allow liquid to enter the panel.
- Access keypad: Remove the trim or screws securing the control panel to access the keypad and ribbon cable.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the cable is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
- Replace keypad/UI board: If F2 persists, replace the BODEGA keypad or touch control board assembly.
When to call a professional: If you are not comfortable disassembling the control panel, contact a technician.
